Welcome to *Spotlight on NYC Bookstores*

This blog is an evolving directory of bookstores in the five boroughs of New York.

It was created as a guide for those visiting Manhattan in May 2010 for Book Expo America, Book Blogger Con, or Book Week.

Please use it as a self-guided tour to bookish delights in the Big Apple!

Bonnie Slotnick Cookbooks

“Welcome to my shop! Get comfortable and stay as long as you like—you’re sure to find something you love! It may be a book your grandmother had, or one you never knew existed, something by a favorite author, or just something that catches your eye. If you’re not able to visit, give me a call so we can have a chat about the kinds of books that interest you.

Some of my specialties are: New York restaurants and food; culinary ephemera; baking books; Jewish cookbooks; restaurant postcards; handmade greeting cards.  Out-of-print and antiquarian cookbooks, etiquette books, and housekeeping manuals; lots of food-related ephemera, from magazines to menus to postcards to recipe booklets; vintage linens, kitchen gadgets, crockery. And fascinating customers with whom to strike up conversations!”
